Wai Yan Phone, is a Myanmar/Burmese journalist, creative writer and translator. From 2005 to 2008, he worked as a reporter, and later as a subeditor, with The Myanmar Times, the only private, English-language weekly newspaper in the country, for which he wrote hundreds of news reports and news features. As a sideline, he contributes his own as well as translated articles and short fictions to local publications such as Atway Amyin, Cherry, Beauty, Sabe
